We then install a high quality female jack in the headphones. The headphones are carefully reassembled and fully tested with the modified cable. They are repackaged using the original packaging.
Why offer two connectors?
The locking connector makes an ultra-reliable connection and the cable can not be accidentally pulled out of the headphones. The cable will stay connected to the headphones until you intentionally remove it.
